Bath Shower Reno - Part 3

I hope you have enjoyed our journey of the master bath renovation so far! After the demo and prep work was completed, it was time for the shower to be tiled. We chose a mix of travertine mosaic used as an accent wall and ceramic 18 inch tile to match. A 2x2 inch ceramic tile {that was included in the collection} was used on the floor. Be sure to look at the end of the final 'after' post for a source list of products used.

{Travertine Mosaic and Ceramic 2x2}

Concrete board installed flush with drywall edges. Shower mud pan poured, sloped over waterproof liner. Concrete board seams mudded and everything waterproofed before tile.

Shower niche on inside of the new partition wall gives plenty of hidden storage!
{Top and bottom niches are 16in square; Middle niche 16in x 6in}

Tile installation before grout.

GROUTED!

We used PowerGrout for this project. It was a breeze to use and has great benefits. No need for sealing, stain proof, and no effervescence {white, cloudy hazze}. It was definitely worth using.

Glass enclosure added last. Still waiting on shower head and valve trim to be installed. We also included two body sprays that turn on/off at the spray head. They are wonderful!

Finished 'after' photos will be posted very soon. More to come in Part 4 with details on our heated, tile floor!!
