Gender Reveal Fun

My little sister is expecting! The youngest of us 3 sisters is having a baby in July and we are so excited. She and her husband have showered nieces and nephews with love and now it's our turn! My sis has decided to do a small gender reveal with close family - except "small" is not how our family does anything, especially when it comes to celebrations.

It started with a Pinterest search for "gender reveal" to find cupcake ideas. And then....I saw it. Tannerite + chalk. Explosions in blue and pink. Yes, we are blowing s*@# up to reveal whether I will have a new niece or nephew. Within 30 minutes we had a full-on invite designed for more than just close family. The middle sister has agreed to host at the farmhouse and end the party with a bonfire.

With any explosion, safety is number one. So of course, following the theme, I made cards for each guest so their hearing stays intact while we have some noisy gender revealing fun! Enjoy the inspiration!

My Sweet Babies!!

We just received our professional photos back from C's 6 month and Family shoot!! The shoot went horribly...puked on holiday dress, spilled Tylenol on carpet, and a few head injuries...so I did not have high hopes, BUT...they are fabulous!

I have been diligently finishing holiday projects including a quilted Advent Calendar and a few gifts (wink, wink). Now comes the daunting task of wrapping! It has never seemed like such a chore in past years. I may have to hunker down and give myself a daily minimum quota for wrapping presents!

A FUN Milestone!

C is 3.5 months and rolled from back to tummy yesterday! She has been trying hard and finally did it while no one was looking yesterday. Today, I was prepared!

He is TWO!

Maternity Photos

Life has been so busy lately! Renovations have been going strong on the master bathroom...thanks to Grammy ;) We also started transitioning E into his 'big boy bed' this week. He has been doing great after just one rough night...yahoo!

We started swim class with E a few weeks ago and he is LOVING it! His favorite part is jumping in from the edge of the pool.

This is also my last month to take Ju-Ju-Be alteration orders. I am definitely feeling the overwhelm and am itching to have things finished!

Just this week we were able to get some maternity photos taken. It was great weather and they turned out great! Thanks Ris! :)

Sweet Inspirations...
The inspiration of my makings is my sweet son, E. I love him to pieces and love sewing boutique baby items that are stylish, but also practical. I am not one to splurge on the latest and newest. As my mom always said..."You could make that for much less!" And so I have taken her advice and started making items that both E. and I both use and enjoy!
